8 Sep 2010 - With this project ERZIA will develop the new generation of UAV communication systems for one of the main Spanish actors on this area.
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles are called to play an important role on both military and civil domains. The Spanish National Institute for Aerospace Techniques (INTA), depending of the Ministry of Defense, is developing an intensive research and development program with different flying platforms for multi-role activities, including tactical, training, surveillance, border control, natural disasters, forestall fire prevention and control, etc.
The Space Unit of ERZIA Technologies SL has obtained a contract to develop a new generation of communication systems that could be easily configured for different platforms and scenarios, providing a reliable and secure communication link for Line of Sight Operations up to a few hundreds of kilometers. The system will be also optimized in terms of weight and power consumption, being also prepared for operating on the environmental conditions present on these vehicles.
With this contract, INTA continues with its policy for supporting Spanish industry for the development of high-reliability and high quality products, looking for national reliable solutions with high added value and empowering country’s industry.
