30 Mar 2011 - AsteroidFinder is a scientific mission designed to find Inner-Earth Objects, which are a particular class of asteroids orbiting between the orbit of the Earth and the sun. The challenge of this program is to be able to search these objects with an optical instrument that points to the sun without getting blinded, so, several strategies will be applied in order to have a detection system which is almost at the state of the art.
The Space Unit of ERZIA Technologies SL (ERZIA Space) has been selected by the German
Aerospace Center (DLR) for the design and procurement of the Power and Radio Frequency
Special Check Out Equipment (SCOE) that will be used during the Assembly, Integration and
Validation Phases, as well as during the launch site campaign of this spacecraft.
With this new activity, ERZIA Space provides a new set of Electrical Ground Support Equipment,
based on Erzia´ sprevious heritage and existing design, but, optimized to mission profile and
customer requirements while providing also extra capabilities, like RF channel emulation and
additional compact units for launch site operations.
